How to play SPEDOH!
Lesson One - How to make a Row
The SPEDOH! gameboard consists of a six by six grid of cells. A row is any sequence of six cells from left to right, side by side, along the same line. Placing six numbers in a row, lowest to highest from left to right, will create a SEQUENCE and turn the row green. An incorrect sequence, where one or more numbers is less than any of the previous numbers, will set the row to OUT OF SEQUENCE and paint the background yellow* once all six cells in the row have been played. There are six possible rows in a game of SPEDOH!

A Row in SPEDOH! is worth 1,000 points.

* It is possible to have rows out of sequence with all numbers showing green. If all of the columns are correctly sequenced they could override the cell's row status. This is known as a Green Board. A Green Board is an excitig accomplishment, but it does not change the score of the game.
Lesson Two - How to make a Column
A column is any sequence of six cells from top to bottom, stacked, along the same line. Placing six numbers in a column, lowest to highest from top to bottom, will turn the column green. An incorrect sequence, where a single number or more is less than any of the previous numbers, will turn the column yellow* once all cells in the column have been played. There are six possible columns in a game of SPEDOH!

Lesson Three - How to make a Diagonal
A Diagonal is any sequence of six cells from top corner to bottom corner, stacked, along the same line. Placing six numbers in a row, lowest to highest from top corner to bottom corner, will turn the diagonal green. An incorrect sequence, where a single number or more is greater than any of the previous numbers, will turn the diagonal yellow* once all cells have been played. There are two possible diagonals in a game of SPEDOH!

Image A: In the image above S1, P2, E3, D4, O5, and H6 make-up a complete diagonal. A second diagonal is created with the cells S6, P5, E4, D3, O2, H1.

A diagonal in SPEDOH! is worth 2,000 points.

Lesson Four - Putting it all together!
The object of SPEDOH! is to win the day. In order to be eligible, a player must fill all thirty-six cells and complete as many row, column, and diagonal sequences as possible. It is possible to score bonus multipliers as follows:
Scoring Calcualtions | |||
---|---|---|---|
Sequence 1 | Sequence 2 | Sequence 3 | Total Points |
Row | 1000 points | ||
Column | 1000 points | ||
Diagonal | 2000 points | ||
Row + | Column | 4000 points | |
Row + | Diagonal | 6000 points | |

To Win The Day! You must obtain the highest score among all registered players participating in on any given day. Consequently, since SPEDOH! can be played around the world, it could be more than 48 hours before a winner is determined, depending on where you are playing from.
